World Language at Haynes Bridge Middle School
Welcome to the website for the World Language Department at Haynes Bridge Middle School. Our programs offer students the opportunity to explore their choice of language, as well as a variety of cultures. We feel that our students are gaining the essential skills and depth of knowledge necessary to be productive and successful in a global community.
World Language classes are available to those students who have met school elligibility requirements with their standardized test scores in the area of Reading. These students will have the option of choosing to participate in a World Language class instead of Reading.
Our language classes are offered to students in grades 6-8. Students who complete two years of the same language in grades 7 and 8 by earning a passing grade each semester will earn one year of high school world language credit. For more information about high school credit, please contact the HBMS Counseling Department.
